If you are constantly searching for the perfect workout routine then I have an answer that may shock you.
There isn’t a perfect routine that will work flawlessly for everyone. There is no single workout to get everyone the best possible results!
Don’t let that scare you away though, because I’ll help you create your own. However, you must first realize that finding a routine that is perfect for you may mean that it may only be perfect for you. Sometimes our bodies adapt to wildly different things than others.
The perfect routine is usually just a simple routine that you can actually stay consistent with. Think about this. Let’s say you find the best trainer in the world and they show you their top secret workout plan, but you absolutely hate doing it every time you step into your gym. If that’s the case, then you’re probably going to give up and lose all consistency.
Instead, start from home and pick out some workout routines, then tweak them by adding in exercises you like and actually look forward to doing the routine. That way, you’re going to become more and more consistent and that’s where the real game is played.
Working the supposedly perfect routine once a week because you absolutely hate it is not only going to make you feel terrible about yourself for not working out as much as you need to, but it will also give you absolutely no results. If you start a workout that you love doing and you look forward to every day, then you are definitely going to work out a lot more consistently, and even though it may not be the perfect workout, the results will be unbelievably better in every way.
Maybe it involves getting rid of squats and doing lunges instead, or brisk walking instead of jogging. I can guarantee that your consistency and satisfaction with your workouts will go through the roof once you find a routine that makes you happy and once that happens you are unstoppable.
